On Saturday April 26th one of New Hampshire’s foremost wetlands scientists and educators will lead a guided walk to a complex of vernal (spring) pools on the Follansbee property in New Boston.  PLC is currently working to purchase the 295-acre forest, which in addition to its many vernal pools includes the remaining unprotected shoreline of New Boston’s Great Meadow.  The landowners have graciously given us permission for the walk, which is limited to twenty people and will fill up fast.

As of Sunday, April 6th, this walk is FULL.  In the event of cancellations in the days leading up to the event we will contact people on the waiting list in order of sign up.  So go ahead and register if you’d like to be on the waiting list, and if anything changes we’ll be in touch!  For more information, go to the “News” tab and click “Events.”
