May 2025 – PLC’s parade of project closings continued in May with the completion of the “Seepack” conservation easement in Lyndeborough.  We had worked for more than a year with town native Burton Reynolds (pictured above) to place a conservation easement on about twenty-six acres of his property that includes a scenic hayfield behind Lyndeborough’s town office, and seven hundred feet of frontage along Stony Brook, a headwater stream of the Souhegan River.  Burton generously donated the easement and all the transaction costs.  As if that wasn’t enough, he also gifted about 4/10 of an acre to the town, which earned him a standing ovation at town meeting in March!  Want to know how the property got the name Seepack?  Read Burton’s cover article in our Fall/Winter 2024 newsletter.
