PLC first acquired Blackbriar Woods in 2011 and then Black Brook Preserve in 2015. Together these two properties contain 230 acres of forest containing a trail system for passive recreation. With water frontage along Black brook, numerous vernal pools, and a beaver lodge, this property is great for a family outing or just to get some fresh air

TRAILS
Bob's Trail (.65 miles)
The Bob trail can be accessed from Shanty Road off of Montelona Rd. The .65 mile trail, marked with white diamonds, passes by numerous vernal pools and ends at a beaver dam and pond.
Blackbriar Trail (1.5 miles)
The Blackbriar Trail can be accessed from Bob’s trail. The 1.5-mile loop, marked with blue diamonds, passes along Black Brook.
Fieldstone Trail (.70 miles)
The Fieldstone Trail was created in 2020 to create access to the Blackbriar and Bob's Trail for the residents of Fieldstone Drive. The trail can be accessed from the beginning of Fieldstone Drive or at the end of the cul-de-sac. The trail is marked with orange diamonds.
