The Potanipo Rail Trail is owned and maintained by the Town of Brookline, subject to a conservation easement held by the Piscataquog Land Conservancy. In 2017 the town and PLC worked together to place the easement on the existing and well-used Potanipo trail as well as two parcels located to the east of the rail trail that front the Nissitissit River. The rail trail is approximately one mile long and offers scenic river views and launch sites for a canoe or kayak. The Town of Brookline allows biking on the trail. Contact the Brookline NH Conservation Commission for questions on other allowable uses. 

Description:
This 14 acre easement is accessible from Oak Hill, Bohanon Bridge, and Pepperell Roads in Brookline, NH. The property is owned by the Town of Brookline, subject to a conservation easement held by PLC.

Key Features:
Extensive floodplain forest and marsh, Nissitissitt River frontage; a walking and biking trail; fishing and boating.

Directions:
From Hwy 13: left onto S. Main St., 0.2 mi. to 1st right onto Oak Hill Rd., then 0.5 mi. to intersection with Bohanon Bridge Rd. Property begins on east side of Bohanon Bridge Rd. See the google map below.

Parking:
At ball field on south side of Oak Hill Rd, which is across from the property and Bohanon Bridge Rd.
