A Winter’s Worth of Walks

with No Comments

The cold and snow is here, and PLC is offering a series of outings to get you outdoors and enjoying the beauty of our region this winter. In January we’ll lead a combination snowshoe / cross-country ski tour of our 330-acre Florence Tarr Wildlife Sanctuary in Bedford and Goffstown. Later in the month PLC and the Dunbarton Conservation Commission will lead a guided walk at the town’s 123-acre Kuncanowet Natural Area, which is also protected by a PLC conservation easement. In February we’ll join the Brookline Conservation Commission to explore the town’s 439-acre Hobart-Fessenden Woods property. We’ll wrap up the winter season in March with a hike to PLC’s 189-acre Rose Mountain Preserve in Lyndeborough. If that wasn’t enough, we’ll also lead a short-notice late winter wildlife tracking walk when the snow conditions are just right. All of our outings are free, but registration is required. Hope you’ll join us outside this winter!
