In December PLC was awarded a three-year, $60,000 operating grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, the maximum amount given through the its Community Grants program. Payable in three annual installments, the new grant will help cover core expenses like staff salaries, office rent, utilities, and insurance.
In 2018 the Foundation’s Community Grants program shifted from making one-year grants to multi-year awards, with the aim of giving New Hampshire nonprofits greater financial certainty to make long-term plans. That year PLC received a three-year $30,000 grant in the revamped program’s inaugural grant round.
Consistent operating support from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation has helped PLC dramatically accelerate the pace and ambition of our land protection work, raise our level of stewardship, and deepen our community engagement. We are deeply grateful to the Foundation for its latest vote of confidence in our organization.
