Southern New Hampshire is under intense development pressure and the responsive action of conscientious landowners, driven municipal partners, enthusiastic volunteers and generous supporters made a big difference for our region’s natural resources.

Marston-Dunlap Conservation Area

45.6 acres | Bedford, NH | Conservation Easement

The Town of Bedford purchased approximately 46 acres of undeveloped land from the Marston Trust located on the west side of Wallace Road, on the Bedford/Goffstown border. The million-dollar purchase was funded from the town’s conservation fund, meaning there is no impact on town taxpayers. As an additional conservation measure, the Town of Bedford conveyed a conservation easement on this parcel to PLC.

Projects completed in 2021 bring PLC’s total land in protection to 9,365.5 acres. We’re looking forward to announcing new projects in 2022 and making more progress towards our next goal: 10,000 acres of land conserved forever.
